The Code of Conduct Committee reviews reports of alleged violations and determines appropriate next steps. The process is intended to provide a fair opportunity for relevant information to be considered before a determination is made. Not every report follows the same path. A matter may conclude earlier through dismissal, referral, or prehearing resolution. A formal hearing is not required in every case.
The 2026–2027 Official Call states that initial contact typically occurs within the first 10 days after receipt. There is no single completion timeline. Complexity, availability of parties and witnesses, and the evidence needed affect timing. Safety concerns may require more immediate action.
Reports, hearings, and related proceedings are confidential under the rules. Information may be shared with authorized recipients, including certain Party officials when necessary. Participants should exercise discretion and follow the confidentiality instructions provided.
